Wi.-fAKATANE CATTLE FAIR Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held a supplementary autumn cattle fair at Whakatane on day, the 3rd. instant. The advertised, entry of East Coast consignment cattle came forward, the quality of which was up to the usual standard but in low condition, showing road travel combined, with adverse climatic conditions. There Was a medium representative attendance, buyers being in evidence i‘from Waikato, Thames; Opotiki and the whole of the Bay of Plenty district. Competition was steady throughout with values corresponding to that of other districts. Practically a total clearance was effected under the hammer. Prices: 2-J-year steers. £3 os to £4 Is; 18-month P.A. .steers, £1 18s to £2 19s; small, £1 10s to' £1 Ids; 18month P.A. heifers, £1 Ss to £1 12s 6d; small, to £1 7s 6d ; P.A. cows, £1 12s to £2 2s; Hereford cows, £1 15s t 6 £2 2s.
