SCHOOL COMMITTEE
SPECIAL MEETING CHAIRMAN’S RESIGNATION A special meeting of tlie Q.D.H.S. Committee was held on Friday night, when the chairman, Mr. A. E. Payne, resigned from the committee on account cf his leaving the district. In bidding farewell to members of the committee, Mr. Payne thanked them for their help during the past- years. All the members of . the committee spoke in high appreciation of the work done by Mr. Payne for. tlio school. Air. A. S> de AI on talk, headmaster, spoke cn behalf of the staff and pupils.' Rev. A. C. Hampton, oij behalf of the committee, presented Air. Payne with a set of Loewe pipes as a token of their appreciation of his services. • .7 Air. Hampton was elected chairman of. the committee. .~, / A request for the use cf Connelly’s paddlock was received from representatives of third grade football teams, and the request was. granted provided the games did not interfere with school football: The committee decided ,to provide new footballs to make a total of six. Extra basketballs will also be provided.
