SOLDIERS FOOD COSTS
DOUBLED SjCNCF: 1914 LONDON, Feb. 12.—1 t costs nearly twice as much to feed a soldier as it did in 1914. The daily average, cost of the soLdier’s ration at home for the year ended March 31 last was 13.72 d and for the year ended March 31, 1914, 7.8 d, said the Minister for War (Mr. Hore-Belisha) in a written answer yesterday.
