PUTTY STOPS CAS LEAK
DEATH 40 YEiARS LATER. LONDOX, Feb. 2.—A piece* of putty, instead of solder, put by a 'workman to. cover the joint, of a gas pipe, was blamed at a. Hull inquest yesterday for the death of Mrs. Alice. Ctunpston, aged 76, who died through a gas leak. Ijhe putty had lasted 40 years, but when a new chandelier . was attached tq the pipe, the putty became dislodged. Verdict: “Accidental death.”
