GOOD BRITISH RESULTS

GENEVA, Jan. 31.—Two and a quarter niiilion thirsty workers, in 7000 British factories aie drinking milk at the rate of 8.500,000 gallons a year. That is one of the many facts reported in the League of Nations’ survey o'l national nutrition policies Britain’s milk-in-industry scheme has shown excellent results on the health of workers who “down tools ’ for a. few minutes every day while they drink millc The factories using the scheme report far fewer absentees, and milk retailers report no adverse effects on their sales. Milk is also provided for hundreds of thousands of poor school children. The league’s survey reveals that Governments all over the world are becoming increasingly nutrition conscious.
