Plans for a trip to England which were made some time ago by two "Waikato residents have been frustrated by the refusal last week in both cases, of their applications to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand for permits to remit money overseas to defray expenses. The cases appear to have been the first in Hamilton as, of the hundreds of applications already placed through Hamilton banks since the now legislation came into lorce during the firstweek in December the majority have met with very favourable consideration by the Reserve Bank and no difficulty has been experienced in obtaining monev for overseas trips.
