VALEDICTORY MISS J. QLARIDCE FAREWELLED
Bliss Claridge, a teacher of the O.D. H.S.. who is shortly to be married, was farewelled by the pupils of the school this morning. Mr. E. W, Seville expressed his regret at Ali.ss Cl a ridge’s departure, • and his appreciation of her five years’ service at- the school. He also wished Miss Claridge the utmost happiness in her idraHed life. Miss St/Du Po-ntet, on behalf of the pupils of the school, presented Miss Claridge with a crystal salad bowl. Miss Claridge expressed her thanks in a few • well-chosen words. The function concluded with musical honours, cheers, and a song bv the pupils, DANCE AT WAIOTAHI A dance was held in the Waiotahi Hail on Wednesday night under the auspices of the hull committee. The music was supplied by I’oyParkes and his Rhythm Boys, while an extra was supplied by Mr. Colin t'arruthers. Monte Carlos were won by Bliss H.
