Miss Kawls was only lo when she was selected to- represent America in the springboard diving at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in ,1932. She was also a member oi the diving team at. the Berlin Olympiad, but since then, has concentrated on swimming and she now holds 33 national swimming records for tree-style, backstroke, breast-stroke and .medley. Once when' asked if she wouldi turn professional, Miss Rawls said, “The only professional standing L want is that of a> good housewife.” . , /
