TE KAHA ANNUAL MEETING ’Hie annual general meeting of the To Kalia Women's Institute was held at To Kalia on Saturday. Alarch otli., 1939. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows: Acting-president, Airs. Tom Pratt. Secretary. Ai'iss Pound. Treasurer, Airs. Isaac Walker. Committee Alembers. Alls. Brown and Airs. Saunders. Airs. Breingau of Tapara- was welcomed, as a new and valuable member cf wide experience. The day’s competition—bottled fruit-—-was won by Airs. Pratt. The date of the birthday party was 'fixed for Saturday, April loth.. 1939. and Airs. Hoi kindly volunteered to make the cake.
The institute anticipates a ver.v successful rear.
