SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING

MONTHLY MEETING RESIGNATIONS RECEIVED The monthly meeting of the Opotiki District High School Committee was -held at the school last night. Present: the chairman (Mr. A. E. Payne), the secretary (Rev. A. C. Hampton), the treasurer (NLr. W. J. Inskip), Messrs. W. Anderson, Williams, Auld and the headmaster (Mr. A. S. de M.ontalk). An apology *for absence was received from Mr. J. H. Mansell. The resignation of .Miss Garidge B. A., was received with regret and; it was resolved to place on record an appreciation of her services. The headmaster also..spoke in appreciation of Miss Garidge’ a services. It was decided to procure a new motor lawnmower before August. It was also decided to apply to the board-dor furniture for the teachers’ room. Air. A aid’s resignation from the committee was received with regret. The headmaster reported that inter-schools meetings had been revived) and a meeting to take the place of the annual picnic would be held on, Wednesday next.
