Morgan, of the Presbyterian Maori Mission, sailed <n the s.s. “Monterey” on Friday for Sydney whence he will leave for a seven months’ holiday visit to England and Whiles hy s.s. “Orcades”. The main object of Rev. Morgan’s visit is to see his son, Air. S. Waimvright Alorgnn, a composer of music, now resident in London.
annual show dance I HOLD AT WOODLANDS Woodlands Hail was the scene of an exceptionally well-attended dance on Friday night, when the annual dance of the A. and I*. Association was held. Conditions tor dancing were ideal and the .members of the .Kit Kat Band were quick to respond to the happy atmosphere which prevailed anioug the dimed s' and provided a popular programme of music. Air. C. Shove proved a capable Alkt 1 . Novelty dances were won hy Air. and Ah>. T|ooney. .Miss X. Watkins and Air. G. Aleatl. Miss K'ppiugsLall «V: Air. Staiele.v. while the Lambeth Walk Competition which created much interest, resulted in Aliss I). Andersen and Mr. F. Fisher being declared the winners.
