RACES FOR PENNANT WINS FOR THREE BOATS The first three of a series of yachting races for the -McGregor Pennant wore held rn the Opotiki river yesterday, a . different boat winning each race, while the placings were also varied. All the races were off scratch and tlie very close finishes created considerable enthusiasm amongst a good crowd of spectators who were on, all vantage points on Volkner Island, the wharf and at the finishing line. The starter and judge was Air. S. N. Clmtfielcl.
