WHAKATANE ANNUAL LAMB AND WETHER FAIR .Messrs. Dalgety and 00. Ltd. rejiort having lield their annual. lamh jiihl sheep lair on Friday the 3rd. February and Saturday the Ith. February. At the lamb' fair the fully advertised entry camci forward and there was ji big percentage of good iambs submitted. There was a large and representative attendance of buyers from .all parts of the Bay of Plenty, no. outside representation being evident. Competition was exceedingly keen for all classes of lambs at an advance on recent rates, especially on the cull section of the entry. In the majority of cases realisations exceeded vendors’ expectations and practically ax total clearance was effected under the hammer a feature, of the yarding being i lie number ol small purchases of from 10 to 50 lambs made by local
