Ruatuna Road: Tenders were in- 1 vited for the expenditure of the grant ||' on this road-and none received. * 1 % would suggest that the work be done by the council. Omahumutu Road: The earthwork/ on thisxoad has been completed*' together with the laying of nine cul- t verts. \ .

Bridge: Plans; for this bridge are nearly'completed l . j " General Maintenance: 'Gravelling • s repairs have been done on the. 'Otara, ■ Waiawa," Crooked, Tirohanga, .Clark’s j tand Woodlands roads. ' The planer has worked on awa, Otara, Hospital and Woodlands roads. Woodlands Dip road' has been reformed with the grader in readiness for metalling. Tenders: Tenders have been invited to be dealt with .to-dav for the following contracts;'- ""Tyt - x - r . Contract Xo.-o&r for gravelling l mile 55 chains Omarumutu road. Contract No. 557 for reforming and metalling 28 chains Keen’s road. Tenders can he invited for raising iand metalling the low piece on the f Wainui road.
