RESULTS OF NIC|HT MEETING ■ There was a lair attendance at the, usual fortnightly meeting held on the reserve on Friday night last. The absence of the children’s events to a certain extent affected the attendance of supporters. There was good competition and the field in the 880 yards event gave a splendid performance, while the time was very good, the scratch man, Ted Upton, being close up to, annex third place. Yereoo to reduce the track record wasj successful, the time being reduced from 3<> seconds to 35 4-5 secs. 880 Yards.—McKenzie 1, Beattie 2, Upton 3. Time' 2.7 4-5. There was a great tussle up the straight with McKenzie doggedly hanging on in front and stalling off Upton’s attempt to gain the lead l . Beattie put in a good finish to annex second place. Senior Cycle, 3 Miles.—B. Vercce 1, D. Lawson 2, F. Storer 3. 'Time 8.53. *E. Storer secured second place but was disqualified on account of throwing his ■ hands above his head as he crossed the line. Discus Throw.—Delamere 1, Smith 2, Le Pine 3. Senior High Jump.—lnskip and.
