LAZIEST HOUSE
NEW BRITISH COTTAGE LONDON, Oct. 27.—British arcliiteets, weary of American jests ajioun ■English plumbing and lack of comfort, have designed a stream-lined modern cottage described as “the laziest house ever built.” A young liiiglishman, Clive Tint—whistle, has collaborated with a Frenchman, Je Corbusier, in producing a design which is to be displayed at the Olynipin Women’s Fair next luontii. It combines “’The freedom over the modern equipment with Tudor warmth and Georgian reticence.” The kitchen has electrical automatic cooking and dish-washing apparatus built in. Antique furniture* lines the brick walls of the living room,'and sheepskin rugs are on the floor. Food is delivered through a patent hatch into the Tudor dining-room, which has an open fireplace. The sun room is entirely glassed in. The exterior of the cottage is washed with pale can de nit.
