GIRL USHER WOUNDED
SHOT IN THEATRE BRISBANE, Dec. 17. Dorothy Bertha Harvey Coffin, aged 25. chief usherette of the Majestic Theatre, Queen street, was shot in the abdomen and critically injured on the stairway of the theatre this morning. This afternoon, a young man was arrested: and was charged with unlawfully attempting: to kill. There were few people in the theatre at the time of the shooting, and most of them were unaware that anything had happened. Those seated near the stairway ,of the dress circle heard a commotion, but did not realise its nature.
