PEDIGREE BULL IMPORTED

MR. ,J. PAUL’S ACQUISITION Mr. James Paul, of Paerata Ridge, has received notification of the arrival in Wellington of liis lately purchased Jersey bull from the stud of Messrs. B. H. Bull and Son of Brampton, Canada. The bull was purchased through the agency of the New Zealand Loan and •Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd., whose stud department advise that the bull arrived in excellent- condition, and had been forwarded to Soames Island for tiles guarantine period. This pedigree bull is a yearling, and he should prove a great acquisition to the already well known “Toa Ton Stud”. He has been specially selected to follow .Brampton Owl Standard who has left such, a very fine lot of producers, and whose sons have all shown great promise.

Brampton Favora Standard is - a yearling bull and is by Brampton Sonora Standard (Standard of Oak lauds —Lucy Sonora). His team is Brampton Favourite Pamela. (Favourite Volunteer—Dairy Pamela) 2nd. c.o.r. Oil lbs. fat in 305 days.

While Standard of Oaklands was living, two. of hi*> sons were retained for use in the Brampton Herd. Brampton Sonora Standard was one of the bulls selected. His two eldest daughters are both on test and they will both qualify for silver, medals. On the female side of his pedigree, Brampton Favora Standard is equally impressive. Favourite Volunteer’s list of tested daughters is headed by Favourite Girl, with a record of 1020 lbs. of fat. She also' has Favourite Violet, 936 lbs. fat. Favourite Dairy 803 lbs. fat and Favourites’ F. Yule, F. Curly. F. Volunteer’s Lassie, Les. Fontaine’s Favourite with 757 lbs.. 724 lbs., 723 lbs. and 710 lbs. of butt erf at respectively.

Mr. Paul’s importation will arrive in Opotiki this month and be should prove an acquisition not only to the “Toa Toa Stud” but to the Opotilti district generally, and we congratulate Mr. Paul on his enterprise.
