SOCIAL. A!)l 0 PRESENTATION At the conclusion ol: the evening .service at tlu» Methodist Church hist night, a pleasant .social hour was spent in honour of .Miss X. Johnson who for same .years has served the Church as organist and who is shortly to lie married. Several Christina's hymns were sung by the gathering and two vocal solos were rendered by Air. It. Wingate. A recitation hy Itev. W. 11. Wilson was greatly appreciated. A vocal solo )>y Miss Skinner was_ billowed by a duet hy Misses Skinner and Griffiths. Accompaniments were played hy Miss Johnson.
During the evening Mr. Wilson took the opportunity of riderring to Miss Johnson’s very great service to the church as organist:. On. behalf ol members of the Church, Mr. Wilson presented Miss Johnson with a handseme fire-screen. Mr. Hodman suitable responded on behall of Miss Johnson, After a dainty supper had been served a. happy evening was brought to a. dose with the singing of the doxole.gy.
DANCE AT WOODLANDS

Woodlands Hall was again the scene of a happy gathering on I'Viday night, alien c<no of the series ol lortniglitl.v socials was hold, the function on this occasion, being conducted by the young ladies. A very happy, evening was enjoyed, a popular programme ol dance music being played by Mr. J. Alanuix. flic dirties of Al’.C. were in the capable hands of Air. Stavciy. - Mnnie Carlo dances wore won hy Aliss X. Storer and Mr. J. Burns, Mrs. T. Tahh and Mr. T. Collins. .Mass 11. Ilea,Hie and Mr. H. Tooue. A very amusing statue dance was won by Miss 11. I'ou'cll and Mr. J. Ran. Mr. T. Davis played a popular extra. During the evening opportunity was taken to make prcs.cnJatious to Mr. \\ . I’ilk'ington, Mi. J. Man nix and Mr. Slavely, in appreciation, of the kindly services they have so willingly rendered to assist in the organisation ol the tortniglitly I unctions. The presentations proved to he complete surprises and all three ol .the recipients expressed their appreciation ol the| thoughtful gifts. All joined in singing I ,For They are Jolly Good bellows”.
