GOOD PERFORMANCES TWO FIRST INNINGS WINS • During, the. week-end two matches were played, Old Collegians v. Town and 1 Otara v. Woofllands. In the Collegians v. Town match, the former flatting first madei 154; Wells (j‘2 and Ray Smith 45 being the only ones to reach double figures. Town replied with 72; J. Serjeant 22 and Lo Fine 25 being the main scorers. Feliowingou Town in their second innings had lost 8 wickets at stumps for 78, Lendrum 40 being the only one to make a stand. Old Collegians won on the first inn-
ings. In the Otanr v. Woodlands game, Otara hatting first, scored 131, of wfiich R. Manhy contributed 48. Chandlers 18, NVarren 13, Connor 12 and Ripe 10 also reached double figures. Woodlands in their first innings scored 31, Grant being top scorer with f>. Following on Woodlands at, call of time had scored 30 for 8 wickets.
