PROBLEM AT DURBAN PUPILS’ LUNCHES STOLEN DURBAN, Oct. 2U--Monkeys living in the bush areas which still exists in Durban's suburbs have become so bold that the City Council is considering a scheme to imprison srnir oi them (jii. an “island.” They have been, carefully preserved and are a great attraction to visitors, but in some areas’ they are taking lno. many liberties. Children in a school .near a .stretch of bush have often had their lunches, stolen from the cloakroom, and the little animals sit on the window sills and watch, them at their studies. Two schemes lor enclosing the monkeys in that area are being-dis-cussed. One is tor an island surrounded bv a. moat, and the othei lot a high l once sloping inwards, which will prevent the monkeys from escaping, but will still allow them to be watched.
