OPOTIKI CALF CLUB
ANNUAL JUDGING TWENTY CALVES EXHIBITED The Opntiki Calf Club bold its judging day and parade yesterday in the school paddock in the presence! cf a fair attendance of the public. Twenty calves were exhibited' and their condition was a 'credit to the competitors. The president, Mr. G. Vanstone, in. addressing the gathering thanked all those who/.had contributed to the work of the club, especially Mr. .Kite, of Tnncntun, who not only acted as judge but also gave a short- address on the subject of judging. Tin* coloured ribbons for the winning calves, which were donated by Mr. F. Bridger, .were presented by Airs. Beattie of Wo (Hands. It is considered that the work of the Calf Oiub is worthy of wider support than Ini'S obtained this year, and it is boned that the good work will not liavei to be abandoned for lack ol public interest..
