WHAKATANE CATTLE FAIR j ' 1 > —— STEADY COMPETITION Messrs. Dalgety and Co. Ltd. report having held a supplementary cattle fair of East Coagt consignment station- bred cuttle at the Avluikatane saleyards on Thursday the 17th. November. 'i'll© entry comprised 600 male and female cattle of various ages, the condition of which was very fair. There was a small representative attendance of buyers present which included Waikato representation the latter taking lolly half the offering. Fat cattle sold at fully ruling rates, under kei'u competition whilst all other classes sold under steady competition at rates fully in. accordance with other centres and in many, eases exceeded vendors expectations with practically a total clearance being effected under the hammer. The chief feature of the lixture was the ready response from the vendors of the , East Coast consignment cattle to place their offerings to the highest, bidder.
