OUTSTANDING SUCCESS THE SECOND EVEN IN 0 The second lecture and display evening held in the Parish Hall last evening. proved to be an outstanding success, and despite strong counterattractions. there was a surprisingly large attendance. 'I he exhibits made a great display and resembled a small ilower-xhow. The exhibits, numbering .over CO were of a very high standard and some • magnificent- specimens ol the rarer varieties el ilowers were staged. notably amongst them being a white Styrex Japonica, red boronia. cotton plant, pro-tea and a beautiful bead ol' Waratah. The most outstanding exhibit was won by iMiss E Bridge for a lovely bowl ol blue irises. The judges wen* Mrs. Maddron and Mr. Cl. Disk who said the exhibits would be a credit to any big flower show. An interesting lecture on manures was given by Mr. Croll and was fully appreciated.
