FORTNICHLTY PIC SALE Alessrs Dalgcty and Co. Ltd. report having held their usual lortnigutly pig sale at the Opotiki suleyarus on the 3rd. instant. J’igs came to hand in very short numbers but the prices obtained were, in most cases for bacon, easily above schedule. Store pigs remained linn at late rates and outside buyers operated on the bacon pigs. Prices obtained were: Top weight bacon, £3 16sj lighter, ‘£3 3s to £3 10s; unfinished. £2 18s to £3 2s; porkers, heavy prime £2 Ms; lighter, £2 3s to £2 8s; stores, well grown pigs in good condition, to 38s; others, 3(Js to 365; slips, 275; weaiters, I ts fid to 17s; choppers, £2 13s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report as follows: We had a large entry of pigs in all classes. Heavy porkers and baconers soldi particularly well. Store pigs and \ weaners were on a par with late rates. Prices realised were:— Heavy prime baconers, £3 12s to £3 10s; medium baconers, £3 4s to £3 Us; heavy porkers, £2 Ids to £2 IDs ; lighter porkers, £2 6s to £2 12s; large store pigs, 28s to 325; smaller sorts, 23s to 265; slips, 18s Cd to £l. Is; weaners, good sorts to 1.9 s 3d; smaller, 13s Od to 16s; choppers, to £3 8s ¥
