MAN CHASES LEOPARD

BATiarJS SAVED COLOMBO, July 2.—When Mr S. Rasaratnam, Hartley College master and noted big-game shot, went to the rescue of two school-hoys attacked by a Jeopard on the seashore at Point •Pedro, northernmost point*, of Ceylon, the leopard leaped at him, knocked hint down, then bolted into a .house.

In the house wore 14 women and two babies. Mr Rasaratnam, hearing their screams for help, entered and though unarmed chased the leopard out.

Police hunted the animai, but it attacked and mauled another man lielore it was shot.
