Murray jnr., returned to Auckland to-day. *###*** Mrs J.'Morgan and her 'infant son have left to spend a holiday in Paeroa ■with Mrs Morgan’s parents, Mr and Mrs It. W. Todd. DANCE AT WOODLANDS The usual popular fortnightly dance Was held in the Woodlands Mali on Friday night, the function on this occasion being organised by the married men, and they were amply rer warded for their efforts to ensure its success. There .was a large attendance and a particularly "happy evening was spent in the informal atmosphere r which the regular attendants to these functions enjoy. Excellent music was played by Mr J. Alannix and a popular extra was supplied by Mrs Mannix. A novelty dance was won by Miss L Storer and Mr J. llurnctt while one for the children was won by Miss Rita Baird and Minster Beattie. The dance opened with a grand march which had been arranged for the benefit of the young people- Mr Stavely carried out his duties as AJ.C. in a very efficient manner and also led the dancers in several popular and novelty dances in which popular old songs were played and the dancers sang while they waltzed. These .dances proved very popular and added to the enjoyment of the evening. Supper was served and dancing was resumed until a late hour. Among those present were: — Mrs \Y. Pilkington, Mrs A. E.
