YOUNG ROMEO ACQUITTED
SKyt KL TO DEATH PACT NEW YORK. June L—Donald Carroll, age<l 16. was to-day acquitted of murdering Jiis swetheart, Charlotte Matthioson, aged 18, in a “Romeo and Juliet” death pact. Carroll, who was alleged t ( > have shot the girl and then lost his nerve, was found “net guilty by reason of temporary insanity.” The jury, were absent for three hours. The trial bad lasted five days. . In liis final speech the prosecutor, Mr Joseph V. Loscelzo, referred’ to the evidence of Charlotte’s parents that they “forgave” Carroll.
