LONG WALK BACKWARDS
13 MILES IN 5J HOURS LONDON, July 9. —Two Cambridge undergraduates, D. C. Creig, oi .1 rinity College, and W. T. Speps, of Rembroke, walked backwards" from Cambridge to Newmarket recently. Bets had been laid that tliey -would not do the 13 miles in less thaii l-* hours ; their timo was only oi hours. They were allowed to walk the normal way into public houses for refreshments, and they stopped at lour inns on the road.
