INQUEST
DEATH OF BREWERY WORKER The inquest into the death of John Hanna, who died suddenly in Gis- O borne on Monday morning, was opened before Mr E. L. Walton. S.M., in. the Coroner’s Court and. after hearing evidence of identification the cor- „ oner adjourned it until September 28. Mr. A. A. Whitehead appeared for the relatives* and .Mr F. Wrey Nolan for the deceased’s employers. New Zealand Breweries. Limited. Sergeant L. T. .Moore conducted the inquest. A brother-in-law of the deceased, Alfred Thomas Webber, who identified the body, said that last Sunday lie was called to take.his hrotlier-in-law for a drive, but the deceased declined, saving that he would rather have a rest on account of his headache. Since an accident- he had complained several times of severe headaches. He had told the witness that about 10 weeks ago he was putting a barrel 8 of beer into the luggage carrier of a Car and the lid ol' fhe''&fflfir 1 fell and struck' him oh the head.
