The forbidden love of a young army officer for a half-breed Alaskan girl is the theme of “The Barrier” m which Leo Carrillo is seen as a FreneiiCanadiah trapper, Jean .Parker as a young girl of wild Alaska, and Karnes Thlison a.s a young lieutenant of tlie United States Army. The cast includes, beside the three named, Otto Kruger, Robert Barrat, Andy Clyde, Sara Haden, J. M. Kerriman and Ad- . dison Richards. Glorious outdoor photography combines with breathless action scenes to make “The Barrier” an absorbing - picture. It. is one of the most ambitious productions ever made by Harry Sherman, famous producer of outdoor films; and was directed by Lcs Eelander.
