“SPORTING DETECTIVE”
LONDON, June 21.—Air John Austin Thomas Hanlon, known as the “sporting detective’’ after winning two amateur athletic running championships and representing Britain in the 1928 Olympic Games, yesterday was appointed chief constable of Leamington , AVanviekshire.
Air Hanlon, who is 82, has been detective inspector /it Scarborough übneo the beginning of 1935.
