Ryan (Te Awamutu) on points, receiving severe punishment. However, he was successful in winning a very fine cup for the gainest loser.

Lai. Dennett lost to Maravitch (Morrinsville) on points in a 4-round bout, which was very even and inter-

esting. J. llohinson lost to Des. Craig in a 4-round contest which proved ithe best bout of the evening. The decision

was Craig’s by a narrow margin.
