A -match was played yesterday on the Opotiki Golf Links between teams representing the Poverty Bay. and Opotiki Clubs. The weather conditions were good and enjoyable games were played the Opotiki Club winning on the day’s play. Results were as follows, Poverty Bay players being mentioned first in each case:— Morning Barry and Maude lost to Kidd and G. Tox, 1 up. Brosnahan and Bull v. L. Davies and CL Black, all square. ' Hutchinson and M'nsgravo lost to Cullen and P. Fox 3 and 2. Hamilton and Morley lost to Harriniau and’ Morris, 2 and 1. ' Cairns and Orr heat Henderson and A. G. Burton, 1 down. Jenkins and Harper lost to Short and Baigent, J and 2. Mitchell and Dr. Gunn lost to Simpson and Partner, 1 up. Skeet and Bellerby beat Morgan ' and A. N. Davies, l up. Russell and Law v. Wright and J. W. Gordon, all square. Afternoon Barry and Maude lost to Kidd and G. Fox, 1 up. Brosnahan and Bull lost to L. Davies and Black, 1 up. Hutchinson and Musgrave lost to Cullen and P.
