PRIMARY SCHOOL’ FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION
OPOTIKI ACTIVITIES With the formation of the Primary Schools’ Football Association, the primary school boys of the Opotiki district will now be taught the essential principles of the Rugby game. The association is meeting with the wonderful support that it deserves and during the month is sending a representative primary school team to play at Rotorua. The Mayor, Mt G. S. Moody, has made a very handsome gift of a set of jerseys for the players, and the Opotiki Rugby Union has donated £2 2s towards the travelling expenses of the team, for which the association express their thanks. The people of the district are giving support to the association by purchasing tickets for a. benefit picture. This picture is Kipling’s “Gaptain’s Courageous”, a story of the Newfoundland fishing hanks, and: the association express their thanks to Mr Kerridgo for arranging the benefit. The association thanks all concerned for their kindly support.
