DOMINION CONFERENCE OPEN FJI) YESTER 1) A Y The Minister of Health, the Hon. P. Fraser, opened the Dominion conference of the AA’omen’s Institutes at Wellington yesterday. He was accompanied by Air* Fraser. The delegates were welcomed to the city by the Mhyor, Air T. C. A. Hislop. Air Fraser said that all matters of importance in the lives and homes oi the people were embodied in the aims of the institutes. He congratulated the movement on its rapid growth in New Zealand. Government assistance had been given in the gieat work being done among toe Maoris. He would lie pleased to endeavour to le-iug about my farther co-operation that might be desir.t'ds between the institutes and \be van mis Government departments. He expressed the hope that the new maternity hospitals and serve's in every part- of the Dominion vruil.l, in a few years, Tie something that other countries would look tip to.
