GISBORNE LAND BOARD

A SHORT MEEIiNG Only formal business was done on Monday at the monthly meeting of tlie Gisborne Land Hoard, at which the Crown lands, commissioner, Mill. L. Primrose, sat with''Messrs G. O. Donovan and R. H. Wicks teed, leave of absence being granted to Messrs. J H. Reid and O. G. Nolan. Schedules for the expenditure- of “thirds” were submitted by the Waikohu County Council for £24 7s do, the Matakaoa Comity Council for £l7 9s 2d, and the Opotiki County Council for- £2 13s, the schedules being approved by the hoard.

Surrender of a temporary tenancy of section 92, Waiotahi parish, and adjoining Crown land of an approximate total area of 36i acres, was proved on the application ol: .H, A. Holloway. A temporary tenancy for the same area was granted to William Wagner, at a yearly rental of £7 lbs.
