MAGISTRATE'S - METHOD
CALCUTTA. May 2. —Two women claimed to he the mother of i\ threc-year-ohl child in the court of a Cawnpore magistrate. He seated the child on his table and placed the two women in front of it. With a erv of joy it leaped into the aims of one of the women. Without going into further details, the magistrate gave the custody of the child to this woman.
