The expenditure during the period was £2627. against £2041 in 1937. Fishing Boat and Whals. The crew of the Napier fishing launch Hinemoa had A narrow escape from being capsized by a whale while fishing near Bear Island, of W aiinarama. The crew had pulled in one drag and were slowly steaming along to pull in the second drag when a large whale rose to- the .surface where the launch had been a few seconds previously.
