waioeka gala bajll Weather conditions favoured the organisers of the Gala Ball at Waioeka. Hall on Wednesday night, when a good attendance of dancers from the surrounding districts spent a very happy evening, no detail having been overlooked by the energetic committee to ensure the success of the function. A popular programme of music was •supplied by the Kit Kat Orchestra, Miss K. Jephson obliging with an extra. Air 1. Ban carried out the chinos of AI.C. in a most efficient manner. Aliss H. Tew and Air N. Lovell. and Aliss T. Irwin and Air Dando. were the successful couples hi the Alonte Carlo dances, . while Aliss S. Butler and All- H. Hudson Avon a novel- balloon dance. A “lucky tickc*t’ ’ dance was won by Mrs T. Black and Air T. Carter. Colourful streamers and showers of. confetti helped to make the evening gay. A tasty supper was served by the ladies’ committee.
