“EVER SINCE EVE” Two stars of immense popularity ■and of well deserved top rank among comedy players, come to the De Luxe Theatre Saturday in “Ever Since Eve.” They are .Marion Davies, the lovely blonde comedienne,' and Robert Montgomery, the debonair youth who has been leading man in so many, gay movies. „. Miss Davies and Montgomery are co-starred in what is described as the liveliest, fastest-moving farce either lias played in for a long time. Miss Davies plays the part of a stenographer who has been so harassed by employers because of her golden-haired beauty that she disguises herself with a dark wig and glasses and goes looking for another job. Montgomery is a novelist who is crazy about blondes, but is forced to accept this seeming brunette forced upon him by bis hard-boiled woman publisher, who wants- him *io keep Jus mind on Ins work,.

He is therefore strictly business during working hours, with Marion there, but it chances that he meets her socially, one evening, when she’s not disguised.

Besides the two stars, “Ever Since Eve,” lias, a cast including such comedy experts as Patsy Kelly, Frank McHugh, Louise Fazenda and Allen Jenkins. “HEROES OF THE RANGE*’ Ken Maynard, king of the western stars, will he hack at the He Luxe Theatre Saturday in his latest adventure drama, Columbia’s “Heroes of the Range”. In this film lven turns G-man, races through the wild horse stampede and blasts the prairie prowlers into the open. Lovely June Gale is his lending lady. COMING ATTRACTION “Head Over Heels”-—Charming Jessie Matthews, as. piquant and sprightly as ever, finds a role greatly to her taste- in “Head Over Heels”, which screens at the De Luxe Theatre next Monday.'and Tuesday. Directed by her famous husband, Sonnie Hale, she sings and dances her (way through a delightful entertainment, brisk in. tempo, tuneful in character ami bright with passages and gentle humour and broad farce. Miss Matthews never fails to entertain and. amuse. Her dancing is remarkably good and she sings delightfully many tuneful songs, including “Head Over Heels In Love” and “There’s That Look In Your Eyes Again.”.
