Mr H. B. Bull said that many of the farmers’ houses were hovels, compared with the Government, standard. The secretary, .Mr C. Blackburn: And many of their cowsheds are better than the houses. .Mr P. AY. Mossman: And better than the 'shearers’ quarters, which are used for only a lew days, in the year. The president, .Air J". E. Benson, said that lie had, to put up a substantial building of 24ft. by 12ft. for live shearers to be used lor about one week in tbe year.
