LOVERS REUNITED
TKxxti x-Y EtVR PARTING LIVERPOOL, March 5. Two childhood, lovers, engaged at 18, separated at 23, reunited 30 years later, and married last week, sailed for Canada in the liner Montrose today. As Herbert and Ethel Gould listened to the orchestra in the ship’s lounge they thought of the day in 1908 when he sailed from Liverpool to seek his fortune in Canada. Their letters dwindled and ceased. Each married, unknown to the other. This year Herbert, a widower, returned to their native Taunton and met Ethel, a widow. " “It is all like a thrilling fairy Yale,” said Mrs Gould to me. “When Herbert proposed the second time I showed him the engagement ring lie gave me 35 years ago. [ never returned it to him, and it- is on my finger once more with the wedding ring.” They are hound for Brandon, Manitoba, where Herbert is head of a grocery business.
