Ltd. reports as follows on thei monthly stock sale held in, the Opotiki saleyards yesterday: — We had a very large entry of cattle, chiefly good conditioned cows which met with keen competition throughout. Fat killable cows show an increase on late rates and we report a total clearance. Prices realised were : prime fat cows, £6 16s to £7 11s; fat cows,„ £5 to £6 5s ; killable cows, £4 4s to £4 18s; good forward cows, £3 to. £4; lighter sorts, £2 to £2 16s; boners, 5s to 17s; 3-year steers, mixed colours, £6 9s to £6 19s 6d; yearling Jersey steers, £2 16s to £3 ss; cows with calves, Jersey, and poor condition, £3 6s to £4 ss. Heavy hulls, £sl to £6 10s; others, £3 5s to £4 12s 6d. Dairy heifers; Jersey, £5

Messrs Dalgety and 00. Ltd. report as follows:

Both cattle and sheep were yarded in „good average numbers. A representative attendance of buyers was present- and practically the total offering was sold under the hammer at most satisfactory prices.

We quote: A. line of 170, ewes account Mr J. Macrae, Wairata, 23s 7d; 27 fat wetlfers account same vendor 24s sd. Good killable wethers, 235. .

CATTLE.—Fat cows came forward in average numbers, prime fat cows making to £6 15s; others, £5 17s 6d to £6 7s 6d ; lighter, £4 16s to £5 15s; stores £3 5s to £4 7s 6d; boners, 30s to £3.
