ENTHUSIASTIC RALLY / MEETING AT OPOTIKI An enthusiastic lheetif Bay of Plenty of the National Party was held in 0potiki on Saturday night; when delegates were present from all branches. Also in attendance was the Opotiki Branch Committee and Opotiki 'Woinen’s Committee Mr. A. Gordon, chairman; Air It. Braithwaite. secretary of South Auckland Division; Air W. S. Gooseman, selected candidate for Waikato;. M'r Win, Sullivan, candidate, for the. Bay of Plenty;- and Air V: Gordon Edwards, organiser. Air F. J. Short, the elected chairman, presided. JAfter. electorate business had been disposed of, Mr Gordon gave a very clear address on the organisation of the party. Addresses were also given by Air Gooseman, Air Braithwaite, Air Sullivan and Air Edwards. Steady progress is being made wifih the organisation of this electorate am' the membership list is rapidly growing. Atf the completion of the meetup , supper was served by, tlie ladies’ con - mittee.
