Ltd. report having held their fortnightly pig sale on' 20th. inst. when a full yarding of pigs was offered to a. representative bench of buyers. Raconsrs showed a firming tendency whilst porkers sold up to schedule. A line of heavy baconers, on account of R. S. Jeffery, realised £3.195. Prices realised were :—Heavy baconers £3 14s to £3 19s; medium baconers, £3 os to £'3 12s; lighter, £2 10s to £3 3s; heavy porkers, £2 os to £2 8s; lighter, 30s to 38s; large stores £1 to 2os. Good slips, to los; choppers, £2 5s to £3 2s. DALGETY AND CO. : S REPORT Messrs Daigety and Co. Ltd. report that -a lull bench of buyers operated on a good average yarding of pigs. Baconers came to hand in average numbers: porkers, slips and weaners not being as plentiful as at our previous sale. We. quote the following prices:— Top weight baconers £3 19s; a line ■ of 11 account Airs T. Moody realising £3 17,s and a line of 40 account Mi* S. M. Jephson of the Hinton Stud made £3 los; .lighter baconers £3 to £3 10s; porkers, £2 os to £2 los; buttermilk pigs £1 12s to £1 • 18s j good slips £1 is. ‘ No weaners were ottered. Choppers £1 los to £2 Bs. WHAKATANE SALE M'essrs Daigety and Co. Ltd. report having held their monthly stock -sale at the Whakatane yards on the 14th instant. An average yarding of store and fat cattle came forward and several big lines of in-calf Jersey licit ers were ottered ana were keenly sought after at an advance on previous quotations. Fat cows to £6 lot; lighter £4 los to £0; stores, £'3 9s to £4 os; boners, £1 8s to £2 13s; Jersey heifers- —the top price realised was £7 17s 6d, others £6 los to £7 10s; smaller £5 to £6 10s; others to £4 os.
