MR. AND MRS. E. C. NEAL Woodlands Hall was the scene of n function on Wednesday night when the. settlers ot Paerata Ridge and Woodlands combined to' farewell Mr and Mrs E. O. Neal and family who are leaving the .district to take up residence at j'ukelcohe. i here was a large: attendance and the evening was spent in dancing to music supplied by Mr J. -Mannix with a popular extra by Mrs Mannix. The duties ot M.C. were ably carried out by 3 lir Stavely. Novelty dances were won by Mrs Powell and Mr Dodgson. Miss J. Powell and Mr L. Fisher and -Mrs Ray and Mr Vert-out. The musical parcel competition was won by Roy -McGregor. During the evening. Mr S. Maxwell, on behalf ot: the settlers, presented the guests of honour with a liaydsome clock, with dainty dressing table -ornaments for the Misses Neal. :Mr- Maxwell spoke of the regret aIE present felt' at the impending departure of Mr ami Mrs Neal and their'Mamily, but wished them the bestyoL Muck and prosperity jii their new sphere.
