REFEREES’ ASSOCIATION
THE! ANNUAL MEETING The annual meting of the Opotiki. Referees’ Association was held last week in the Northern S.S. Co.’s office. The following officers were elected' for the ensuing year:— Chairman, Mr E. W. Seville. Secretary, Air H. Hawkins. Nomination committee, -Messrs Seville and W. Burrett. Selection committee —to be appointed at the next meeting. Delegate to Opotiki Rugby Union, Mr A. Short. Delegates to Bay of Plenty Rugby Union — Messrs Burrett and SevilleGeneral Business. The delegate to the Opotiki Rugby was instructed to point out to the Union at the annual meeting that there were few active referees this season. Clubs are asked to assist in finding more referees. With the permission of the Union, referees are to carry out an inspection of hoots and studs prior to the first match. Referees are also to insist that all players wear correct uniform.
