PUBLIC CONVENIENCES ' * Sir, —1 am a, farmer from ' Canterbury, touring the North Island and stopping at Opotiki. I inquired from a gentleman on the street where the conveniences were and 1 was informed there were none. The only conveniences, I was told, were at the hotels ; so it does not speak much for the council of Opotikfi. CANTERBURY FARMER.
