LONDON, Jan. 14. More than 3-5,000 applications for patents in this country are made by inventors every year. A slip-on sole and heel, to save boot and shoe repairers’ bills. L -V cleaner for upholstery which,-in-stead of cleaning with soapy water, as m the past, uses the soapsuds only—not the water, so saving wetting oi the material. An. absorbent pad for -attaching to the forearm of athletes, so they can easily wipe their foreheads when, they* are hot. A non-clogging salt collar, fitted with a valve, so that the salt remains dry. i A sweet-making machine to produce spherical or couii-a] Jolli-pops. ,A golf-dull bag, fitted with separate covered compartments, to protect the heads,, of golf clubs when in the bags.
